The Copyright Office charges a statutory fee per work, under the Second Schedule to the Copyright Rules, 2013 — ₹500 for a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work, including software source code, and ₹2,000 where an artistic work is used or capable of being used in relation to goods or services. Cinematograph films and sound recordings attract higher slabs. Each additional work is a separate fee. Paid by you at actuals.
